7 DAYS LODGE SAFARI - THE PROGRAM
Day 1: Tarangire National Park. is the first National park on our safari, after an early start we drive to and enter this park famous for its many Elephants and Bao Bab trees. Game Driving until dusk. We overnight listening to the sounds of the African night. Overnight Tarangire Safari Lodge Day 2: Rising early we game drive until lunch, after which we continue our safari to Lake Manyara National Park. We shall take a short Game Drive in this spectacular park at the base of the western wall of the Great Rift Valley before retiring to our hotel on the rim of the Rift Valley. Overnight in Lake Manyara Lodge Day 3 AM: Game Driving until lunch in the Lake Manyara National Park. We hope to be able to see some of the tree climbing lions for which this very beautiful park is famous. PM: We drive to and enter the world famous Serengeti National Park. Game Driving from the entrance gate to your hotel in this the probably most famous of all National Parks in the world! Overnight in Seronera / Lobo Lodge Day 4 A full day, dawn to dusk Game Driving in the Serengeti National Park. Today we have over 14,000 km in which explore the ever changing flora and fauna, in this park made famous in the Film "Serengeti shall not die" by Dr. Bernhard Grzimek. You too shall never forget the splendour of the rolling savannah and open plains, home to the most spectacular migration on our planet! Overnight in Seronera / Lobo Lodge Day 5 Our last game drive in Serengeti National Park taking in some of the "Kopjes / Inselbergen" granite outcrops in which many preditors love to sit and look out over the plains for their prey. Lunch is a packed lunch. En-Route to Ngorongoro Crater: En-route we stop at Oldupai Gorge to visit the 'Cradle Of Mankind'. Overnight in our hotel 'Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge' on the Rim of the Ngorongoro Crater (2,300m). Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater - a World Heritage Site - where we spend the maximum of six hours allowes game driving! Down inside the World’s Largest Perfect Caldera (collapsed volcano) with a permanent residence of circa 30,000 animals. Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly exciting place to see the only remaining Black Rhinos in East Africa. Overnight in the Kifaru Lodge situated in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Day 7 En-Route to Arusha, we shall have ample time to stop and buy some of the Makonde carvings for which Tanzania is so famous. Also for those who wish a chance to stop at Mesarani Snake Park to see the snakes that are normally difficult to see in the wild due to their natural shyness. Overnight ILBORU SAFARI LODGE. Departure Departure Day: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for those returning home. For those taking one of our Zanzibar or Mount Kilimanjaro / Mount Meru extensions, collection / transfer as described in tour description. |
