7 days Kenya lodge safari to Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This is a Private Safari departing with a minimum of 2 persons - we do not mixed groups, so you are assured the full attention of our guide and have the flexibility to customise the itinerary. This 7 days safari features three major reserves in Kenya; namely Samburu National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park and Maasai Mara Game Reserve, and gives you the opportunity to stay overnight in a tree hotel at Mount Kenya Area - the Serena Mountain Lodge. The Samburu National Reserve, located about 220 miles north of Nairobi is relatively small, covering an area of only 104 square km with a unique landscapes of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. Small herds of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and plains game are present but a special feature of this Reserve are the various species of game unique to these northern parks - Beisa oryx, the long necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue shanked Somali ostrich. The leopard is often seen.
Lake Nakuru is one of the greatest world’s famous bird spectacles with over 400 bird species besides the flamingoes that carpet the lake. Many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.
Masai Mara Game Reserve on the other hand is Kenya's most spectacular of all Kenyan parks and reserves, and here you have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. The Reserve covers an area of 700 square miles and forms part of the Serengeti ecosystem and hence hosts the world famous spectacle of the annual migration of up to two million wildebeest, thousands of zebra and an escort of carnivores from the Serengeti plains, following the rains and succulent new grass.
Day 1: Nairobi/Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya and north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving Samburu Serena Lodge in time lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 2: Samburu
Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Samburu is a beautiful and and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Optional activites include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 3: Mountain Lodge
Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya arriving Serena Mountain Lodge (tree hotel) in time for lunch. Relax the afternoon away as you watch game from the balcony with an optional guided nature walk. Overnight floodlit game viewing - Mountain Lodge rightfully boasts of having the highest record of animal visits and sightings in the area. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru
Depart Mountain Lodge in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley - to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Arrive Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive.
Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild\'s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Day 6: Maasai Mara
Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.
Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (US$20 per person).
